First comic!

First comic!

The first of many comics, based somewhat on my life and experiences. I’m Indian by descent, Canadian by birth, and American by virtue of citizenship. The comic above sums up the typical introductory banter I get from mostly white Americans.

The answer they are looking for when they ask “Where are you from?” is really “What is your heritage?” I’ve gotten used to answering this question – I’ve done it so about a million times – but that doesn’t mean I don’t hate the question.

Because I do.

    Well…
…I’m American by “heritage,” birth AND citizenship…
    …and I ***Still*** get wierd looks…!

    Yeah, it happens!

I think this comic means you have ANOTHER winner, BTW!

So you are a CBCD and not an ABCD, big deal! :-)
    You are a CD nevertheless!

Great comic though, gotta give you that, Bro! But from Engg. to Fine Arts (and pretty fine arts indeed!), try doing that in your “country of descent” and you’d be screwed not only by your parents but the society as a whole!

So you should be shouting from the rooftops: “God bless America,” huh?

And before your kid screams: “Appa”, be prepared for the sleepless nights! Happy parenting and Congrats!

Although it’s a godawful movie, “Porky’s” has the infamous line (said by a waitress intercepting a prank phone call):
“Mike Hunt? Has anyone seen Mike Hunt?” to which some of the patrons reply “Apparently half the county!”

I’ve just caught a few scenes on cable – it’s a movie that was the progenitor of all the teen sex/gross-out pictures (ala “American Pie”).

On another note, my parent’s had a good friend (I met him so I know this isn’t made up) whose name was Warren Peace.

    There I finished it. :D Backwards! ;)
