We’re heading back to Tampa this morning – and I’m hoping to work on a new Uncubed this evening. The Baby Shower was a fantastic amount of fun. It was great to see many of my old friends.
Aarti has her baby shower in Knoxville tonight. In the wee hours of the morning, I picked up my sister from the airport (she flew in from Sacramento via a red-eye flight). Today we’ll continue preparations for the hall – and the festivities will commence this evening.

To this day, I still regret never bothering to practice and learn my ancestral language. It bothers me even more that I won’t be able to pass along this language to my children. (Aarti speaks Hindi, English and Gujurati)

A hearty thanks to Ben Paddon, of Jump Leads, for plugging Uncubed and PC Weenies on his website today. Jump Leads is sci-fi done right: action, adventure, big bad robots, and a dollop of humor thrown in. Check it out!

I’ve reworked the first two Uncubed comics to better match the style of the other strips.
…just in case you’re wondering as to the direction of this comic strip – the ‘toons are not always going to be about our new baby – but given that we’re at this particular juncture, and it’s fresh on my mind – I figured I’d run with it for now. Expect a change-up or two in the next couple of Uncubed installments. And a very special thanks to my good friend Tauhid Bondia for plugging the comic in his blog today.

The sonogram visit yielded more questions than answers… we won’t know what we’re getting until the day of baby’s arrival.

….settling in at my parents’ place.
Aarti and I caught an early morning direct flight from Tampa to K-town (only 1 hour and 15 minutes). We both didn’t get much sleep last night in anticipation of not missing our flight out.  I’m planning to work on a new Uncubed this evening. Just so ya know…Â
