I’ve decided to put UNcubed on hiatus until late October. I hate to be lame, but I really am enjoying the down time. 4 strips a week (3 PC Weenies toons, and one UNcubed) was taking a lot of time out of my already slammed schedule. I have an animated project I’m working on right now, that I really want to complete. Plus some convention (and wedding) related travel in the weeks ahead.
It’s selfish, I know, but I have a ton on my plate and I think the time I have to decompress a little will help recharge my batteries. Check in between now and then – there may be a few surprises in case I get the itch to draw something for old times sake.

Sounds like a good idea, Krisha! A little down time always frees up the muse for new things. Animation does take a lot of time and effort, and too many things on the plate slow down everything. You certainly deserve the break. Best of luck!
Of course you earned the break and your track record for keeping your word is good. I have a soft spot for this strip and look forward to the return.
By all means, take a break man! You have a busy schedule, a lovely(and understanding) wife, and a young daughter. I’m impressed that you can keep up with everything without burning out or losing your cool. We’ll wait, trust me. This is one of only a handful of comics that I’m willing to wait for an extended period of time for. Superfogeys, Red Moon Rising, Brathalla, and Order of the Stick are the others. Few others have demonstrated that they are worth the wait, and will keep their promises. So, refresh your creative juices and spend time with your lovely family. We’ll be here when you return.
