Greetings…

Stuff coming soon. You betcha.

We’re live!

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

So, chances are you’ve stumbled upon this website via my other webcomic.

Welcome!

I’ve had this domain name reserved for over a year, and haven’t done anything with it until now. Laziness had something to do with it, as well as the lack of a truly clear and focused idea. The original premise of this site was a webcomic featuring continuity, using a few familiar characters, in a workforce setting – with a twist. That idea is still on my radar, but, as of now, I’m not feeling it

Rather than let the domain fall completely into oblivion, I decided to spin this site with more of a journal comic slant – which is something I’ve always wanted to do anyway. I fully intend to update the site on a once-per-week basis. A bonus Uncubed toon will appear on Monday this week, but the usual publishing cycle from here on out will be once on the weekend (let’s say Sunday, okay?).

How will this affect my other webcomic, The PC Weenies? Well, to keep myself sane, I’m going to publish two ‘toons a week instead of the usual three. At least that’s the plan for now. We’ll see how it goes.In the meantime, sit back and enjoy the ride. It’s gonna be fun.

New comic coming on Friday…

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

I just finished working on the latest Uncubed. It should be up on Friday instead of Sunday. I really do appreciate all your feedback and support. This comic is a pleasure to write and draw, and cathartic for me as well. I hope you stick around!

New toonage coming this weekend…

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

I’m making it up as I go along. Thanks again to all of you for writing and sharing your feedback. Let me know what you’d like to see (in the comic, on the website, etc.).

Art from the 9-07-07 strip…

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

I first plot the words for the strip, then draw an assorted set of sketches, which I manipulate and position into the appropriate spots. It’s a bit unconventional, but working this way gives me the freedom to draw at a larger size than I normally would. Here are the original sketches behind the latest ‘toon.

Monday evening thoughts…

Monday, September 10th, 2007

I finished the Uncubed comic for this week a few minutes ago – I may post it a few days early, if there aren’t any objections…Also, the folks at Fleen wrote a nice plug for Uncubed today. Check it!

Dealing with Bullies…

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

This article brought a smile to my face. Bullies suck, and it’s nice to see that other students are doing something about sticking up for the victims.

In Knoxville…

….settling in at my parents’ place.

Aarti and I caught an early morning direct flight from Tampa to K-town (only 1 hour and 15 minutes). We both didn’t get much sleep last night in anticipation of not missing our flight out.  I’m planning to work on a new Uncubed this evening. Just so ya know…

it’s not ALL about the baby…

Monday, September 24th, 2007

…just in case you’re wondering as to the direction of this comic strip – the ‘toons are not always going to be about our new baby – but given that we’re at this particular juncture, and it’s fresh on my mind – I figured I’d run with it for now. Expect a change-up or two in the next couple of Uncubed installments. And a very special thanks to my good friend Tauhid Bondia for plugging the comic in his blog today.
