Based on a real conversation Aarti and I had a few days ago, after she had finished watching a program on the Oprah network (yeah, I know). It made us chuckle afterwards.

Things have been quiet around here – far too quiet. With this strip I hope to resume back to a regular once-a-week schedule. As some of you know, UNcubed is being published by India Currents magazine. My goal is too keep the content fresh here so that I can furnish newer strips for the magazine.

One of my other big plans is to revamp the UNcubed website, which has been somewhat neglected. Expect more on that front in the next few weeks.

New strip, folks!

Where have I been these last few months? In January, we moved to our new place. Work and family and general settling in has kept me away from drawing. My schedule is so packed to the brim with new projects that UNcubed has taken a back seat. While I can’t promise much in the way of a consistent schedule, I do want readers to know that I haven’t forgotten about the strip.

I know the toon is on hiatus until we finish our move, but I couldn’t resist staying up a few extra hours to draw the comic you see before you.

Sonia started her first day of pre-school today. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see her off, but Aarti did. I did, however, get to pick her up this afternoon, and she was beaming with excitement. She made it through her first day with flying colors!

This is probably a first – at least for UNcubed. Is it even possible for an auto-bio strip to have a guest-comic? Cartoonist Rob Stenzinger and I mulled the idea a bit – and we came up with a solution: Write a comic on the topic of what it was like meeting me in person.

After all, it’s part of the bio, right?

Rob and I first met at the UP! Fair, in Lexington, Kentucky. You can read his report of the conference.
