Taking a slight detour with today’s domestically themed comic. Hope you don’t mind. This actually happened in conversation last night and I couldn’t resist sharing it with you guys and gals.
Try crystallised Ginger. Works well for my wife and kids (my wife is particularly susceptible), most recently on a ferry crossing with 3m swells (just average by this crossing’s standards, they sail with passengers up to 6m and freight only to 7m) no trouble at all. You just suck on it ’till its soft then chew it up. Start about 1 hour before travel. Cheers, Graham.
Sounds familiar. That isn’t unique to Indian communities, but I suspect is relatively universal.
We have a neighbor here who whenever my wife runs into her just asks nonstop questions that are a little too personal even though we barely know her. And then talks trash about all the other neighbors in the building…
And of course, anything that goes on in our own apartment we hear from the building maid who hears from the servants of another apartment who hear from somewhere else… And we hear things about what we do that isn’t true through the same source…

PS. I can’t actually see the comic??
Comic’s up! Sorry bout that, Graham. We’ll try crystallized ginger. Thanks for the tip!
Very funny! And I don’t know if you’ve heard this yet, but I can relate, too (er, I, um, …)
