I can relate. Maryland winters aren’t nearly as cold, but I too had to wear the snowsuit.
It lasted one winter before Mom realized it was more trouble than it was worth. My brother got a bye as a result.
So true! And then when it got warm enough to melt the snow those things were like giant sponges! You would come home 50 lbs. heavier and smelling kinda’ … soggy like!
