Sonia and Aarti are visiting my parents, as is my sister Ramaah. I’m missing out on spending time with them, but I know it’s good for Sonia to get to know her family a little more.
I know the feeling man. My wife went to Vegas last month with her girlfriend to a wedding and I simply didn’t know what to do with myself. I was so use to the annoyances of family obligations, that I am now institutionalized in those confines.
My best friend bitched and moaned about how having a baby turned his life inside out. The first time he left her with me to go out of town overnight (his wife was overseas in the Air Force at the time, came home on leave, and they spent a night together alone), he was a nervous wreck, and he literally rushed in the door to get the baby when they got home.
Because you are use to having the family obligations and miss them when they aren’t there.
I get the same feeling when my wife takes the kids and visits family while I’ve got to stay at home because of work.
