Airports are fascinating ecosystems in which to study people. I didn’t really find myself engrossed with technology during the trip, even though I had my laptop and iPod. The experience was liberating. (Also, I didn’t want to pay those exorbitant wireless rates.)

A smart observation. Might I also add that it’s hard to find some peace and quiet, and the distractions are, as a rule, overpriced.
