A smart observation. Might I also add that it's hard to find some peace and quiet, and the distractions are, as a rule, overpriced. :)

Watching this kinda reminded me of some-one I saw recently on Comedy Central - Russell Peters. I believe he's also a Canadian with Indian parents.
He might be well known to you, but he's new to me and I found him quite funny.
Here's a short clip from one of his standup gigs I found on YouTube where he's "commenting" on the Indian accent! I hope you like it.

Oh yeah... My last trip out of Mumbai, about a year ago, we had the line like that, first at the Immigration counter (shouldn't it be named Emmigration?) that took about 45 minutes, then that fed to the security check for another 45 minutes or so.

But it was worse because the construction crews were doing some work to the area under the security check, where the non-functioning escalators and stairs led to, the main concourse. So all 45 minutes of people pushing and shoving, trying to skip ahead in line, while workers hammered, drilled and sawed and clouds of concrete dust floated all around...

And then after making sure no one had any sharp objects, construction laborers left things like wire cutters, saws and what-not all over the place when they left for their breaks.

I do believe you can produce ONE entire Comic Book just on the mishaps of your trip to India....At least we all know that it was a happy ending....You made it to India.

I saw this for the first time a couple weeks ago. I meant to send it to you. I mean, it has everything. Jumping motorcycles (no ramp necessary) plate glass in doorways for no reason (how do people get through those hallways?) and even a horse slide. = WIN
